I heard a line yesterday that's been playing on repeat in my mind:
"Don't let your music die with you."
It stirred something in me. It resonated.
It reminded me of Baba+Boo. Of what truly matters. Not the revenue or the milestones, but the echo. The knowing that my nappies are still out there, still doing their bit. Being passed along. Still part of something bigger than me.
That's what stays. The note that still hangs in the air.
I often think about all the ideas and gifts that live inside people. The ones I can see in them but that never see daylight. The words never spoken. The creations never shared.
The care. The fire. The music.
We all carry something unique. Something the world might need.
It's not always about starting a business. Sometimes it's writing the thing. Saying the thing. Planting the tree. Sending the message. Showing up in a way that leaves a trace.
In a world of too much, resonance is the best guide. Not just in what we build, but in what we choose to let into our lives. We live in a world where the loudest often wins, but loud doesn't always mean meaningful.
Pay attention to the businesses you support. The people you follow. The voices you amplify. Let your life be shaped by the sounds you want in your soundtrack. Follow those who hum in harmony with your heartbeat. Not those who blast a rhythm that leaves your nervous system rattled. This counts for the news you consume too.
Your impact doesn't need to be loud to be lasting. Even if you're not ready to share your music yet, at least listen to it. Find some quiet. Learn your rhythm. Find your baseline.
Then let what's inside you be heard.
Let your music play.
I made this playlist for me really. I love music’s ability to move you in every kind of way. Thought I would share as you find something in it that moves you too.
Yay for number 4!! This will always remind me of us!!
